Taylor Patskanick is a Technical Associate at the MIT AgeLab. Her research explores generational and age demographic trends across domains such as housing, transportation, and retirement planning.

Taylor co-coordinates the MIT AgeLab 85+ Lifestyle Leaders panel and contributes to the AgeLab’s AGNES (Age Gain Now Empathy System) program. She also manages OMEGA (Opportunities for Multigenerational Exchange, Growth, and Action), an intergenerational summit and scholarship program. Taylor is particularly interested in the role of intergenerational programming in shaping careers in aging and lifelong social and civic engagement.

The MIT AgeLab was created in 1999 to invent new ideas and creatively translate technologies into practical solutions that improve people's health and enable them to “do things” throughout the lifespan. Equal to the need for ideas and new technologies is the belief that innovations in how products are designed, services are delivered, or policies are implemented are of critical importance to our quality of life tomorrow.

The MIT AgeLab is a multidisciplinary research program that works with business, government, and NGOs to improve the quality of life of older people and those who care for them. The AgeLab applies consumer-centered systems thinking to understand the challenges and opportunities of longevity and emerging generational lifestyles to catalyze innovation across business markets.

In addition to her work at the AgeLab, Taylor is a licensed certified social worker (LCSW) and on adjunct faculty at Simmons University. Taylor earned her MPH and MSW from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis and received her BSW from the University of Georgia.
